Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use loregroupchat.com or the lore agent in iMessage. By using lore you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
The private beta
lore is in private beta. Access is limited and given in order of signup. Features can change, pause or end at any time, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee access. lore is free during the beta.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use lore. Nobody under 13 may use lore, and if we learn that someone under 13 is using it, we will delete their account and data. If you are 13 to 17, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use lore only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who should review these terms and our Privacy Policy with you. A parent or guardian who allows a teen to use lore agrees to these terms on the teen's behalf and is responsible for the teen's use. If the law where you live sets an older minimum age to use a service like lore, or to use it without a parent's consent, that age applies to you. If you add lore to a group or workspace, you confirm you have the right to do so and that the people in it know lore is there.
What lore does for you
lore can remember chats, research, build files, draft, book and message. It acts only with the permissions you give it, and it stops for your approval before it sends, posts, books or buys anything. You are responsible for what you approve and for the accounts and content you connect.
Your profile and introductions
You are responsible for what you approve on your profile, and it must be true and yours. lore suggests matches and introductions; it never introduces anyone without both people's yes, and it does not vouch for anyone it introduces. Use your judgment when meeting people. Don't use lore to spam, harass, scrape or deceive people; we may pause or remove a profile or account that does.
AI can be wrong
lore uses AI and can make mistakes. Check important facts, dollar amounts and recipients before you approve. lore does not give legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. Outcomes on third-party websites, such as a booking or a price, are not guaranteed.
Acceptable use
Do not use lore to break the law, harm or harass others, send spam, impersonate anyone, get around access controls, scrape sites in ways their terms forbid, or attack or overload our systems. Do not give lore credentials or content you have no right to use. We may suspend access for misuse.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you share with lore and what lore makes for you. You give us a limited license to store, process and display it to run lore for you and your group. We do not use it to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
Messages and connected services
lore sends iMessage and text messages and works through services you connect. Their terms apply too, and carrier or data charges may apply. Text STOP to opt out of messages. You can disconnect any service at any time.
Our property
lore, its software and its branding belong to us. You may use lore as intended during the beta, and you may not copy, resell or reverse engineer it.
Ending these terms
You can stop using lore at any time by removing it from your chats. We can suspend or end access at any time, with notice when we can. Sections that should survive ending, such as ownership, disclaimers and liability, do.
Disclaimers
The beta is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Disputes
California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Sacramento County, California, and you and we consent to them. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
Changes
We may update these terms as lore changes. We will update the date above and tell you about material changes. Using lore after an update means you accept it.
